What counts as a search?
- SerpApi: "Only successful searches are counted toward your monthly searches. Cached, errored, and failed searches are not." Its prices are for the default Best Effort speed; the faster Ludicrous Speed modes cost more (Starter: $50 a month instead of $25).
- DataForSEO prices a SERP as one page of 10 results.
- Serper: "Every time you receive successful responses to queries, we will deduct credits from your account balance." Credits are valid for six months, and prices exclude sales tax and VAT.
- The scraping APIs (ScraperAPI, Scrape.do and ScrapingAnt) bill a Google page like any other page, at the fixed credit cost above; none of them charges for a failed request, by its own definition of a failure.
