Price changes and corrections
New captures of scraping API and proxy pricing, the price changes we've seen, and corrections to our own numbers, newest first.
Oxylabs: Oxylabs moved every product to one prepaid balance: Starter $30, Basic $100, Flexible $500 and Enterprise from $2,500, each with its own rates, plus a $5 welcome credit. Its Web Scraper API had been sold as monthly plans from Micro at $49 to Corporate at $2,000, with a free trial of up to 2,000 results. Its scraper, SERP, Web Unblocker and proxy prices were re-read and updated across the site.
Web unlockers: Per-page costs now assume the median page's 21 KB of HTML, from HTTP Archive, instead of a figure taken from Oxylabs' old trial terms.
Web search APIs: Started tracking search APIs built for LLMs from their own pricing pages: Tavily, Exa, Brave Search API, Perplexity Search API, Jina, Linkup, You.com and Firecrawl Search. Microsoft's Bing Search APIs are listed as retired on 11 August 2025, with no price to compare.
CAPTCHA solvers and headless browsers: Started tracking CAPTCHA solvers per 1,000 solves (2Captcha, Anti-Captcha, CapSolver, CapMonster Cloud and DeathByCaptcha) and headless browser APIs per browser hour (Browserbase, Browserless, Steel, Hyperbrowser, Browser Use, Kernel, Cloudflare Browser Run, Anchor Browser and Bright Data's Browser API).
Google Maps scrapers and web unlockers: Started tracking Google Maps scrapers (Apify, Bright Data and SerpApi) against Google's own Places API tiers, and web unlockers from Decodo, IPRoyal, Apify and Anchor beside Bright Data's and Oxylabs'. Outscraper answered with a bot check and is left out.
SERP APIs: Started tracking prices per 1,000 searches for SerpApi, Serper, DataForSEO, Bright Data's SERP API, ScrapingBee's Google Search API, ScraperAPI, Scrape.do and ScrapingAnt.
Free plans and trials: Read the free plan or trial of ScraperAPI, ScrapingBee, ZenRows, Scrapfly, Firecrawl, ScrapingAnt, Scrape.do, Crawlbase, Bright Data, Zyte API and Apify, converted to plain, JavaScript and protected pages. Firecrawl's credit costs per feature were read the same day.
Proxy trials and page weight: Read the trials and refund terms of Decodo, IPRoyal, Webshare and Proxy-Cheap, and the median page weights from HTTP Archive's 2025 Web Almanac, which turn a number of pages into gigabytes of proxy traffic.
Proxy head-to-heads: Correction: a comparison called Oxylabs cheaper at 500 GB a month, where the two providers cost the same. It now says they tie.
Proxies: Started tracking proxy prices per GB and per IP from the providers' own pages: Bright Data, Oxylabs, Decodo, IPRoyal, SOAX, Webshare, Rayobyte, PacketStream, Proxy-Cheap and Massive. NetNut is listed as unreadable: netnut.io shows only a page titled "Seized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation".
Zyte API and Apify: Added what Zyte and Apify actually publish. Zyte: pay-as-you-go prices for its five site-difficulty tiers and the ranges it gives with a commitment. Apify: plans, compute-unit rates, proxies and its per-request Unblocker; what a page costs depends on the Actor you run, so it has no single price per 1,000 pages.
Head-to-heads: Correction: comparison pages counted a volume one API has no published price for ("talk to sales", "Custom") as a win for the other. They now compare only where both publish a price and name the gaps.
Scraping APIs: Started tracking ScraperAPI, ScrapingBee, ZenRows, Scrapfly, Firecrawl, ScrapingAnt, Scrape.do, Crawlbase, Bright Data, Oxylabs' Web Scraper API, Zyte API and Apify from their own pricing pages, with each API's credit multipliers for JavaScript rendering and premium proxies.
Scrape Meter: The site went live at scrapemeter.com with a calculator that prices successful pages of four kinds (plain, JavaScript, premium proxy, and both) on eight credit-based scraping APIs plus Bright Data's and Oxylabs' prices per 1,000 pages, and a comparison of credit multipliers.
